Since it's a prototype and the whatever needs to pass through the eye socket to get to the brain, maybe it couldn't pass through the eye yet?
Also, wouldn't she die of blood loss? idk how much would you lose after having an eye removed nor how much blood loss would kill a person, but still....

are there 2 timelines abt that too? but hifumi said that the person she was dating on this timeline was falco... if so, can iris see other timelines too??? was date the killer & hifumi's lover on another timeline??
